Apple Music users struggle with limited playlist organization tools. Sorting options are not personal and are often manual, making it hard for listeners to maintain curated playlists that match their mood or habits.

Solution

Rhythm Refresh is a smart playlist sorter that empowers users to organize their music by mood, genre, and listening behavior going beyond Apple Music’s defaults.

Uncovering User Needs
to Design with Purpose

To uncover user pain points, I turned to Reddit, a space known for unfiltered and honest feedback. I asked Apple Music listeners what frustrated them most using the platform. With over 500 comments, one issue kept coming up: limited playlist sorting options.
